Tuesday, August 31, 2010  At 1530 hours DFD 8 was paged to a commercial structure fire at a local paper plant. First arriving crews reported fire at various sites along a seven story conveyor belt. DFD 8 along with IP firefighters deployed crews at both the top and bottom entrances of the belt to make an interior fire attack. The fire was under control at approximately 2200 hours. Mutual aid was received by DeSoto Fire District's 1, 5, 9, Mansfield Fire Department and DeSoto Parish EMS.
